The Duotone Neo SLS 2024 kite has been given some very nice upgrades this year by Duotone's kite designers, including pro wave rider Sky Solbach, to make the 2024 Neo SLS even better in the high performance wave ride segment. Compared to the standard Neo, the SLS version has more drift, faster steering and better high-end due to the premium construction, making the Neo SLS perfect for advanced directional kite surfers. With its fine drift, average pull through the turns and super direct steering, you won't miss an off-the-lip!What's new compared to the previous version Neo SLS? The biggest design update is in the wingtips. We see that Duotone, like with other kite models, has put a lot of emphasis on improving the tips of the Neo SLS 2024. If you compare the wingtips of the Duotone Neo SLS 2024 with those of last year's Neo SLS, you will see that they are a bit more square and the strut makes a straighter angle upwards into the canopy of the Neo SLS 2024. The advantage of this new wingtip design is that the 2024 Neo SLS has a more direct and faster depower. You can let the kite drift almost immediately and get instant depower from the kite to ride the wave like in your dreams. Another advantage of the wingtip is the faster steering behavior. Just like last year, the Neo SLS 2024 has an external FlexStrut. The FlexStrut is different for each size to give every size of the Neo SLS the same feel. Small sizes always feel fast and direct, so these sizes have a lot of flex in the strut to give them a slightly more forgiving character. The large sizes can feel a little cumbersome, so have a stiffer strut to give the Neo SLS 2024 the perfect directness.
The Duotone Neo SLS 2024 has an optimized bridle line setup that allows you to control the kite well even when you have the bar slightly away from you for depowering. In addition, the bridle, combined with the shape of the Neo, ensures that the kite can restart effortlessly. This is so nice when you are lying in the water and monster waves are coming your way and you know that the Neo will start again in no time.
The canopy of the 2024 Duotone Neo SLS is made of the exclusive 3x2 Duotone Trinity Ripstop material. This ensures a perfect balance of stiffness, flex and weight. The majority of the leading edge and struts are made of lightweight Premium Penta TX to create a light and very responsive kite. Load distribution plates and additional reinforcements have been added around the Neo SLS 2024, which has a positive effect on the lifespan of the Neo SLS.
Because the Duotone Neo SLS 2024 has such direct steering and such good drift, you can also use the 2024 Neo SLS kite for a wonderful hydrofoil session in light winds. However, the Neo SLS 2024 performs best in strong winds and big waves. The perfect kite for the demanding directional kite surfer!
